Dude, this is super-exciting! I'm trying to build a telepathy-gabble 0.9.2 package for openSUSE 11.2 right now so I can try it out (without having to uninstall all of empathy and reinstall it all from source).
Thanks so much for putting together a release. :-)
For anyone not in #banshee on IRC, Neil helped me figure out that mission-control needed to be upgraded to version 5.3.1. Also, it's important to build telepathy-gabble with the gnutls backend, not the openssl backend. This happens automatically if you have a gnutls 2.82 or greater.
All of these dependencies are available for openSUSE 11.2 users here: http://bit.ly/4qUJxN

Okay, I got telepathy-gabble 0.9.2 installed, but that caused Empathy 2.28.0 to stop working for me with gtalk. Will have to dig into this later.
@Sandy, glad you're excited! gtalk is working for me with Empathy 2.28.1.1.
...and gabble 0.9.2
